Ardabil, Iran, August 9, 2017 – Two Asian qualifiers for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship in Italy and Bulgaria will be decided at the tournament in Ardabil, Iran from August 10 to 14, which gathers teams from hosts Iran, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Korea and China.
The five teams participating in the qualifier will play each other in a round-robin tournament. Click here

Speaking at the press conference on the eve of the event, Iran coach Igor Kolakovic said: “We respect all participating teams here. We would like to play in the World Championship next year in Bulgaria and Italy, so we will try our best.”
A former Iran coach, China coach Raul Lozano said: “I am happy to be back in Iran - this time with the Chinese team. This tournament is very important for us.”
Kazakhstan coach Igor Nikolchenkov said: “Our team has a very difficult job. But we will try our best in every game to go to the World Championship.”
Qatar coach Massimiliano Giaccardi said: “For us, it is nice to take on the challenge from the strong teams. We are the Cinderella of the tournament. But of course, no one enters the court to lose. Hosts Italy and Bulgaria and defending champions Poland have direct tickets to the FIVB's flagship tournament. France, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Russia, Serbia, Finland, and Belgium from Europe plus Japan and Australia from Asia have already secured their berths through continental qualifiers.Quick links - Volleyball:
