Sofia, Bulgaria, June 5, 2018 – Over 20,000 fans got a chance to see the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship trophy on display during the Volleyball Nations League matches in Sofia from June 1 to 3.
Bulgaria hosted Serbia, Australia and European champions Russia for the Volleyball Nations League at Arena Armeec, where the fans were able to see the coveted trophy up close.
The trophy will also be displayed at the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna from June 15 to 17, for the Volleyball Nations League matches featuring hosts Bulgaria, Brazil, France and Canada. Then it will visit Ruse on June 23 for the city’s carnival celebrations.
The 2018 Men’s World Championship is co-hosted by Bulgaria and Italy from September 9 to 30. Varna and Ruse will host first round matches, while Sofia will host matches in the second round.
