Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, January 12, 2020 – An elated Marcos Kwiek, the Brazilian coach of the Dominican Republic said that earning the ticket to the Olympic Games is the best way to crown four years of hard work.

Credit to my team of assistants and to the girls who did a tremendous job. This is a great way to crown four years of pure effort."
Jose Mieles, coach of Puerto Rico: "This was the game we were waiting for, hoping to win it. Unfortunately it couldn’t be done. Otherwise I am happy with the job the girls did, because I know they gave one hundred per cent."
Brayelin Martínez, Dominican player: "With this victory I can complete the journey throughout all the major competitions, the Volleyball Nations League, the World Cup, the World Championships and the Olympics. These are the fruits of hours of training during the past four years - I always had the confidence we were going to make it."
