CEV President and FIVB Vice President Aleksander Boricic visited Ruse - one of the Bulgarian host cities of the Men's World Championship.
Ruse, Bulgaria, September 18, 2018 - CEV President and FIVB Vice President Aleksandar Boricic visited Ruse - one of the Bulgarian host cities of the Men's World Championship. During his stay in Ruse he held a work meeting with the Mayor of the city Plamen Stoilov, the President of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation Dancho Lazarov and the Vice President Lyubomir Ganev.
One of the discussed topics during the conference was the opportunity for conducting future big volleyball championships in Ruse. Boricic was also surprised with a symbolic gift. He received a statuette of the Freedom Monument from Ruse's Mayor.
The FIVB Vice President made sure that the citizens of Ruse are living with volleyball in their hearts during the battles in Pool B at the World Championship. Boricic was fascinated by the three-dimensional drawings of the “3D – Ace&Game” festival, dedicated to the the biggest volleyball event.
He also had the opportunity to see the art installations built for the World Championship and the exhibition in the centre of Ruse that shows attractive moments of the matches between the Bulgarian national team and each of the six countries that play their first phase fights here.
