Bidding process launched for 2022 FIVB Volleyball World Championships

 

Lausanne, Switzerland, September 3, 2018 – The FIVB launched the bidding process for the 2022 FIVB Volleyball World Championships today. Expressions of interest in bidding for the organisation of the competition should be received by no later than September 30, 2018 and sent to bidding@fivb.org

The Expression of Interest form, terms and conditions as well as other information about the bidding process can be found on the FIVB website at https://www.fivb.com/en/bidding. A party interested in bidding may also send any questions that it may have to bidding@fivb.org.  

The final decision will be announced at the FIVB World Congress in November, 2018.

FIVB President Dr Ary Graça, said: “As the 2018 FIVB World Championships start with the men’s edition of the event in Rome and Varna this Sunday, we are delighted to launch the bidding process for the next edition of this prestigious event, following the FIVB’s key principles of transparency and good governance.”

The world's top 48 men’s and women’s teams will compete at the 2018 FIVB Volleyball World Championships, with the men’s edition due to start on September 9, 2018 in Italy and Bulgaria. The competition runs through to September 30, when Turin will host the grand finale at the Pala Alpitour. The women’s event will be hosted in Japan from September 29 to October 20.
