Coaches in Sofia: It’s time for high-level volleyball!

 

Sofia, Bulgaria, September 20, 2018 - The coaches of Bulgaria, Iran, and the USA, who are going to take part in Pool G during the second round of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship, expect great volleyball in front of the amazing crowd in Sofia! Tomorrow USA will face Canada in the first match at Arena Armeec, whereas co-host Bulgaria will play against Iran.

John Speraw, coach of the USA: “We are very excited to be here. Last week we had some very challenging matches and may be some matches that were not as difficult. I think all the teams in this pool are very good and play good volleyball, so this week will be fantastic for the volleyball fans around the world. I am excited to get going.”

Igor Kolakovic, coach of Iran: “We are also happy that we are here in the second round. We will do our best during this phase, playing game by game. We have nice memories from Varna and we hope to make nice memories in Sofia as well.”  

Plamen Konstantinov, coach of Bulgaria: “First of all I want to congratulate my colleagues for their good performance in the first round. I think that here in the second phase are only the best teams in the world. The quality of the matches will be higher and we must play better. It will be not easy against these strong opponents, but I hope to play in the best way possible with the support of our fans in Sofia!”
