We will enter the court to win in the final - Kurek

Turin, Italy, September 29, 2018 - Poland was welcomed with little skepticism at the beginning of the tournament, but once again proved to have one of the purest volleyball DNAs in the World as veteran Bartosz Kurek proved the Poles are never beaten. Same thing for the USA, who admitted the opponent's superiority after a dramatic semifinal clash.

Vital Heynen, Poland coach: "I am very happy about the way the team played, with true grit. Plus, I believe that the USA are very similar to us in terms of quality and overall level, so beating them was twice as beautiful."

Bartosz Kurek, Poland opposite: "It doesn't matter how many points I made, victory is all that really matters. We will face Brazil again, like four years ago, and we will enter the court to win."

Aaron Russell, USA outside hitter: "The Poles played better than us, even if we gave everything. We fought with courage, and we will try to do it again for the bronze: it's going to be hard, but we will go for the win".
