  • Spain will welcome another Futures event from 18-21 September with a women’s only tournament on the beach of Castellón de la Plana

  • Another double-gender event will be hosted in September in Türkiye’s Balikesir

  • The Beach Pro Tour 2024 promises a very exciting season with a total of 36 Futures events scheduled across all the continents

The 2024 European Beach Volleyball season will feature another three events on top of those previously announced, following confirmation that three Beach Pro Tour Futures will be taking place later this summer in Belgium, Spain, and Türkiye.

Belgium’s capital city, Brussels will welcome such a competition for the very first time with a double-gender tournament due to run there from August 1-4, 2024. This will take place only a couple of weeks after another such event scheduled to take place in Leuven, Belgium. These tournaments further cement the immense growth that Beach Volleyball has been experiencing in the country, with youth athletes from Belgium achieving unprecedented results on the international stage. Last year, Joppe Van Langendonck and Kyan Vercauteren claimed a historic gold medal at the U21 World Championships in Roi Et, Thailand. The venue set up at Muntplein, a square in Brussels downtown, will welcome beach volleyball players from across the globe as well as up to 2,500 fans.

Next to the traditional season’s opener scheduled for early May in Madrid, Spain will welcome another Future later in the year, from September 18-21, when a women’s only tournament will be taking place for the first time on the beach of Castellón de la Plana. Spain has been a hub of beach volleyball force for many years and their youth athletes continue to excel on the international stage at a variety of age-group championships.

Finally, that very same weekend, another double-gender event will be going ahead in Türkiye’s Balikesir. Last year, the seaside resort played host to the inaugural CEV Beach Volley European Cup, establishing itself as a prime destination on the European and international beach volleyball map. This was in addition to the successful delivery of a number of zonal events run under the auspices of the Balkan Volleyball Association (BVA).

With the addition of these events to the calendar, players and fans from around the world can look forward to a long summer season filled with exhilarating beach volleyball action.

The Beach Pro Tour 2024 promises a very exciting season with a total of 36 Futures events scheduled across all the continents, the largest number since the tournament's launch. The extensive calendar offers plenty of opportunities for both up-and-coming and experienced teams to secure valuable ranking points and a share of the prize money at stake.
