Yuan Lei elected as the new President of the Eastern Asia Volleyball Association

 

·       Yuan Lei, Vice President of the Chinese Volleyball Association, was elected as President of the zone

·       Yuan Lei and Dr Eom Han-Joo of Korea were the two candidates standing for the position

 

Yuan Lei, of China, who serves as the Vice President of the Chinese Volleyball Association, was elected as President of the Eastern Asia Volleyball Association (EAVA) during its General Assembly in Beijing, China this week.  He will serve as EAVA President for the 2024-2028 cycle.

The delegates from eight EAVA member federations as well as the EAVA Executive Committee members  attended the meeting alongside the leadership of the FIVB, the Asian Volleyball Confederation and the General Administration of Sport of China.

Two candidates stood for the President’s position, Yuan Lei and Dr Eom Han-Joo from Korea, which were decided through a ballot.
